Research and Method Development Team

In recent years we have worked closely with food producers to establish their analytical requirements for export markets, as the number and volume of New Zealand food products for export is increasing.

As part of our commitment to aid producers with this process, we have recently established a dedicated Research and Method Development team to enable us to respond to client requests for food research and method development.

A recent example of this team’s work is the method validation of vitamins A, D, E and C in food. Cawthron is now one of the few commercial laboratories in New Zealand to have IANZ accreditation for the testing of these vitamins in food.
